📚 Why this glossary exists
Hong Kong wall bed vocabulary is messy — "Murphy bed / wall bed / fold-down bed / 牆床 / 翻床 / 隱形床" all refer to the same product. Different sales / contractors / shops use different terms; customers confused. This glossary unifies vocabulary so you can communicate accurately when getting quotes / WhatsApp consultation.

Approval (management)物業管理批文
HK private estate / HOS / HKHA wall bed installation requires management office approval. We handle all paperwork; customer just signs authorization.
Bed-in-wall mechanism入牆床機制
Mechanism for folding bed into vertical wall cabinet. Made of oil-pressure piston / spring / mechanical arm. SBLM / Häfele / Chinese OEM are the 3 main sources.
Bunk wall bed雙層牆床
Two stacked beds in single wall position. Common in kid's room / sleepovers. Upper bunk needs grab bar + safety rail.

HOS (Home Ownership Scheme)居者有其屋 / 居屋
HK Housing Authority subsidized home-ownership scheme. Wall bed installation requires management + Housing Authority case-by-case approval. We have 6+ years of HOS experience.
