Will my dog or cat scratch and damage the wall bed's wood-grain panels?
We offer an anti-scratch finish (HKD 1,200) — surface coating hardness of 6H, 3 times harder than standard cabinets. 100+ pet families, 5 years, zero scratch damage cases. Standard wood-grain panels will show marks from dog nails or cat claws, but the anti-scratch finish won't.
When the bed is folded up, could my dog or cat get trapped inside?
No. The SBLM hardware has 3-level safety locks — the bed body requires manual triggering before closing, so it won't snap shut on its own. Also, when folded up, there's still 10cm of internal space (between the mattress and bed frame), so even if a pet accidentally gets inside, they can still breathe. We recommend: train your dog or cat to recognise the closing action and check before closing the bed body.
Is it easy to clean dog hair and cat hair from a wall bed?
Yes, it is. When the bed is folded up, the floor is freed up — vacuuming is faster (dog hair mainly accumulates under beds where it's hard to clean). The mattress comes with a dust cover (HKD 800) — when the bed body is closed, hair falls into the cover, which you simply remove and wash. It's 80% easier to manage than hair balls under a traditional bed.
I sleep with my dog — how sturdy is the wall bed?
Very sturdy. The SBLM hardware has a 750kg dynamic load capacity (large dog + owner + mattress = max 200kg, still a 3.7x safety margin). We have a customer with a 38kg Labrador + their own 70kg body weight, using the wall bed daily for 5 years with zero mechanical issues.
Dogs and cats have sensitive noses — is the wall bed paint and VOC safe for them?
We use E0 plywood (formaldehyde 0.3mg/L) + water-based paint (VOC 28g/L), which is even lower than pet toy standards (EN71 allows VOC 200g/L). After ventilation for 1-2 weeks post-completion, pets can enter the room normally.
