How much does a wall bed cost in Hong Kong?
From HKD 22,800 (Single) to HKD 68,400 (Queen with full custom wardrobe). Standard Queen wall bed packages start at HKD 32,800 including SBLM US-patented hardware, 25cm pocket-spring mattress, and 10-year warranty. Free site visit and 3D rendering with no commitment.
Does it work in old Hong Kong buildings (1960s-70s)?
Yes — we install in 1968-era buildings (Mei Foo, Whampoa) where most installers won't touch the walls. We do free wall inspection first, and if reinforcement is needed (rare), we add steel plates with structural engineer signoff (HKD +4,800). Our SBLM hardware is rated for 750 kg load.
How long does installation take?
4-6 hours for the wall bed alone. 6-10 hours with side wardrobes. 1.5 days for full custom wall (bed + TV + wardrobe + desk). All low-noise tools, no neighbor complaints in 100+ HK installs.
What about HOS (居屋) or HKHA public housing?
HOS units: yes, case-by-case housing authority approval. We have 6 years of HOS experience and handle the paperwork. HKHA public housing: requires Building Authority written consent (4-8 weeks). We assess your unit's eligibility for free.
I'm renting — can I install a wall bed?
Wall beds are permanent installations requiring landlord consent. Some HK landlords say yes — wall beds add property value. If renting short-term, IKEA folding bed may be a better fit. See comparison.
Is the mattress comfortable for daily use?
Yes. We include 25cm independent pocket-spring mattress (5-star hotel grade) — the same comfort as a regular bed. No "metal bar in your back" feeling. The mechanism does not affect mattress comfort.
What if I move flats within 5 years?
Wall bed reinstallation at new address: HKD 3,800 (within 5 years). HKD 4,800 after. Done by original installer — no damage to mechanism. If the new flat is unsuitable (low ceiling), we offer 70% buyback within 5 years.
