How early before due date should we start renovation?
Recommend pregnancy 4-6 months. Wall bed deposit-to-completion is 6-8 weeks. Late-stage pregnancy should avoid paint VOC exposure. Maternity leave shouldn't overlap with renovation.
Is wall bed safe for BB?
Our SBLM hardware has 3-level safety lock + cushioning + 5x cycle test. BB stage (0-3yo) parents typically use wall bed (BB in cot crib next to it); BB doesn't operate. 4yo+ can be taught.
What about VOC / chemical safety during pregnancy?
E0 plywood (formaldehyde < 0.5mg/L, baby-safe) + water-based wood finish (VOC < 30 g/L). Lower than EN71 baby toy standard 7x. Ventilate 2-3 weeks post-install before BB occupation. We can provide material certs.
Can parents and BB co-sleep on wall bed?
HK Health Dept (衞生署) strongly recommends 0-12 month BB use independent cot crib (HK Consumer Council certified) in same room as parents (not in same bed). Wall bed releases space for cot crib + parents bed. We help source compatible cot cribs.
Will wall bed be outdated when BB grows up?
No. Our wall bed framework lasts 25+ years. Internal config (mattress / desk / etc) can be replaced per stage: 0-3 cot crib mattress → 4-7 toddler mattress → 8+ single mattress. Frame + hardware unchanged. Saves 70-80% vs full re-renovation per stage.
Where do I live during renovation while pregnant?
4-6 hour install day doesn't require relocation, but we recommend leaving for the day + ventilate overnight. Process is mostly pre-fab assembly (no major paint application). For ultra-cautious, do a 1-day staycation hotel.
