👆 The 3-finger lift
Our SBLM mechanism deploys with literally 3 fingers of force. Cheaper Chinese-mechanism beds need 2 hands + a knee push. The first time you try ours after trying theirs, the difference is unmistakable.
🔇 The 8-second silent deploy
Pneumatic resistance, no jerk, no clunk at the end of travel. Cheaper mechanisms hit a hard stop with a metallic clang. Listen for it; you'll never unhear it.
🛏️ The 200mm pocket-spring mattress
Most cheap wall beds ship with 100-130mm foam slabs (industry standard for wall-bed-mattress because anything thicker doesn't fit the cabinet). Ours is genuine 200mm pocket-spring. Lie on both. The difference shows up in 30 seconds.
🔩 The Häfele hinge close
Side cabinet doors with Häfele soft-close vs no-name Chinese hinges with no soft-close. Open and let go from a 60° angle. Ours stops at the last inch and floats home in 1 second; theirs slams.
📜 The Häfele patent + serial sticker
Look on the underside of the mechanism. Häfele Pro Series stamp with patent number visible. Cheap mechanisms have a generic sticker or no sticker. We point to it; the cheaper vendors hope you don't ask.
📐 The 200kg load test live
We put two 100kg sandbags on the deployed bed in front of you. Watch the mechanism not flex. Cheaper beds rated for "single user only" — which is them admitting the mechanism wouldn't survive this test.

FAQ — what visitors usually ask before coming
- Will there be sales pressure?
- No. We don't pay our showroom staff commission. The point of the visit is for you to feel the mechanism + leave with a quote-feasibility memo. ~25% of visitors don't proceed and that's fine.
- Can my partner come?
- Yes — most HK couples decide together; we encourage it. The 200kg load test is more memorable when 2 people watch.
- Can I bring my interior designer / property agent?
- Yes — designers and agents get the same demo. We have a separate 8-15% trade margin program for designers who refer clients; mention it during the visit and we set up the referral on the spot.
- If I'm shortlisted between you and Spazio, should I visit both?
- Yes — please. Spazio's showroom is at spazio-plus.com/pages/contact-us. Try both mechanisms back-to-back. We're confident enough in the haptic difference that we recommend you visit them too.
- What if I'm pre-arrival from overseas (Singapore / UK / AU)?
- Video tour available — 60 min via Zoom / WhatsApp video. We deploy mechanisms in front of camera, do the load test, walk through materials, hand-camera the patent sticker. Good enough to commit. 12-week pre-arrival workflow detail.
- Can I just send my flat dimensions and skip the visit?
- Yes — we'll quote remotely via WhatsApp + photos. But our 4-year data is clear: visitors convert at ~75%, remote-quote-only buyers at ~25%. The mechanism feel matters more than any spreadsheet. We're not gatekeeping; we're flagging what genuinely correlates with a satisfied install.
