This example shows how to plan a room for working by day and sleeping at night. The six budget items below add up to HK$42,000. They are illustrative amounts, not a customer invoice or evidence of a completed paid installation.

The room and the daily routine
Assume a 290 sqft studio needs a desk during the day and a bed at night. The design needs somewhere for the desk, chair and cables to go when the bed opens. Plan both arrangements before choosing a cabinet finish.
Dimensions to check
The planning assumptions are a 3.6 m usable wall, a 2.55 m ceiling and 2.4 m between opposite walls. These numbers do not establish that a particular bed fits. A measured plan must check the full open-bed length, cabinet depth, door swings and walking clearance. The installer also needs to assess the wall and anchoring requirements.
Configuration to discuss
The example combines an American SBLM mechanism and steel frame, a cabinet with shelves, and a separate rolling desk. Decide where the desk will park and how its cables will move before approving the design. Confirm the exact bed and mattress dimensions in the written specification.
