- 5-8 kg operation force: SBLM hardware = water bottle cap force. 75-90yo can operate one-handed daily.
- 3-level safety lock: Bed close needs manual two-handed trigger. Senior accidentally bumps / falls on bed — bed absolutely won't close.
- Emergency lock: Functional during power outage. Wall bed can still pull down in blackout. No urgent repair needed.
- Grab bar: Bedside + bedside + door — safer get-in / get-out / walk-by (HKD 1,800 each).
- Motion light: Wakeup at night (common bathroom trip) auto-illumination. No groping in dark (high fall risk cause).
- Lowered bed height (-5cm): Bed surface 38cm not 43cm. Wheelchair / walker transfer easier. Lower fall risk.
- Wider clearance: 1m bedside space reserved for walker / mobility aid / caregiver standing.
- Anti-slip flooring coordination: We advise how to align anti-slip mat with wall bed (avoid senior stepping on slick surface when pulling bed).

FAQ
Is wall bed safe for 75+ year olds to operate?
SBLM hardware needs only 5-8 kg force (= opening a water bottle cap). One-handed operation. We have 80yo customers using it 3+ years independently with zero incidents. Add grab bar + emergency lock + motion light for full senior-friendly setup.
If senior falls, will the wall bed close on them?
Absolutely not. SBLM has 3-level safety lock — bed closing requires manual two-handed trigger. Cannot close accidentally. Even if senior on bed has medical issue, bed won't close. Emergency lock keeps it functional during power outage.
Parent lives alone, I want them to have more space, but I overnight when visiting — how to allocate?
Master bedroom queen wall bed for parent. Small room / helper room single wall bed for your overnight visits. When you're not visiting, small wall bed folded becomes physical therapy / hobby / exercise zone. Parent gains daily space, you have a bed when visiting.
Can wall bed accommodate wheelchair / walker users?
Yes. We can lower bed height -5cm (38cm vs standard 43cm) for easier wheelchair transfer. 1m wider clearance for walker space. Grab bar embedded in wall + bedside (avoid user collision). Discussed at site visit.
Cognitive impairment / dementia — is wall bed safe?
Early/middle dementia: yes (we have cases). Late dementia: we recommend NOT use wall bed — operation may confuse. For early dementia, we provide instruction labels (large font + photos) + train family / caregiver + free annual onsite refresher training.
If senior falls onto wall bed, does our insurance cover?
Our HKD 1M insurance covers install period + install-defect-caused incidents. Senior daily use (e.g. own fall / health reason) covered by home contents insurance or medical insurance. We advise children purchase senior accident insurance (annual HKD 1,500-3,000).
