Anti-conflict-of-interest framing for professional partners
For professional partners (solicitors / doctors / school teachers), we understand "we pay you to refer" can feel awkward against fiduciary duties. Three things we do to keep this clean:
- Disclose to your client — your introduction can include "I'm referring you to [vendor]; they pay me HKD 2,500 if you proceed; this doesn't affect your price + you can compare against any other vendor." We provide a 1-line disclosure script in your preferred language.
- Only when genuinely fit — refer only when client's situation matches our case studies. Mismatch referrals waste their time + ours; we'd rather you didn't.
- Pay-on-close, not pay-on-introduction — you only earn when your client decides for themselves to proceed. Removes any "introduction pressure" dynamic.
What we ask in return
- Don't refer mismatches. If your client's flat is ineligible (post-2020 luxury 1500+ sqft, our spec is overkill) — say so. Saves everyone's time.
- Don't oversell. Use our actual language: "Wall bed alternative if room-shortage is the issue." Don't promise outcomes we haven't claimed.
- Tell us about your client's specific timing. We co-ordinate install around their deed-completion / due-date / school-year. The earlier we know, the better.
FAQ — partner-specific
- Can I refer a client even if I'm just a friend / family member / not a professional?
- Yes — we have a separate "casual referral" program at HKD 1,500 cash per install. Same FPS payout mechanic. Ask for the casual referral link.
- What if my client decides not to proceed?
- No payout (we pay on close, not on introduction). But we keep the referral link active for 12 months — if they come back later (common for school-catchment buyers who delay 6-12 months), you still earn.
- What if my client gets a quote from us + another vendor and goes elsewhere?
- No payout. We respect their choice + appreciate the introduction either way. We don't try to "lock in" referrals; quality over quantity.
- Can my firm / clinic / school sign up as the referral entity (not just me personally)?
- Yes. FPS accepts business accounts. Common with conveyancing firms + clinics that want to build a service-fund / staff-bonus pool.
- Is there a minimum referral count to qualify?
- No. One genuine referral that converts = full payout. We'd rather have 5 partners sending 1 quality referral each than 1 partner spamming us with 50 mismatches.
